Purpose

This report provides us a drilldown view into the overall performance of store aggregate groups across metrics of $ sales, Unit sales, price and Households shopping.  StoreTopline

Instance

  • Location – Standard Location hierarchy selector.
  • Product – Standard Product hierarchy selector(s).
  • Time – Standard Time selector(s).
  • Shopper Group – Standard Shopper Group selector.
  • Compare vs.  –  This offers a short list of time comparison options of:
    • Prior Period – Indicating that the time comparisons are between the days identified in the Time selection, and the same number of days immediately preceding the days identified in the Time selection.
    • Year Ago – Indicating that the time comparisons are between the days identified in the Time selection and the same number of days whose ending date is one year prior to the ending date of your Time selection.

Rows

Rows represent store aggregate groups in the hierarchy selected in the Location selector.  The top node in the drilldown is the node you selected.  Drilldown is available from that top node all the way to the bottom, leaf, nodes of the selected hierarchy.

Columns

Grouped by across headings

  • $ Sales – $ are defined in this report as the list amount less any item markdown amount.
    • Current – $ in the selected timeframe.
    • Current % of Parent – $ sales expressed as a % of the item group’s immediate hierarchical parent for the selected timeframe.
    • Prior Period – $ in the comparison timeframe
    • Prior Period % of Parent – $ sales expressed as a % of the item group’s immediate hierarchical parent for the comparison timeframe.
    • $ Change – selected timeframe $ less comparison timeframe $
    • % Change – $ Change expressed as a %
  • Unit Sales
    • Current – unit sales in the selected timeframe.
    • Prior Period – unit sales in the comparison timeframe
    • % Change – Unit sales change (selected timeframe less comparison timeframe) expressed as a %
  • Average Item Price – calculated as the actual net sales dollars divided by the number of units sold
    • Current – in the selected timeframe.
    • Prior Period – in the comparison timeframe
    • % Change – Change (selected timeframe less comparison timeframe) expressed as a %
  • Households – the count of households represents the count of distinct household shopping IDs
    • Current – in the selected timeframe.
    • Prior Period – in the comparison timeframe
    • Shopped Prior Period not Current – This is the count of households in the list of households satisfying this specification.
